Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CranePOS, operated by Sprout Software Solutions ("we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

CranePOS is a cloud-based point-of-sale and business management platform. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with reasonable notice provided to active subscribers.

3. Account registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

4. Subscription and payment

• CranePOS subscriptions are billed annually in Ugandan Shillings (UGX).
• Payments are due at the beginning of each subscription period.
• We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period.
• Failure to renew will result in suspension of access to the service. Your data will be retained for a reasonable period to allow renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CranePOS to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Transmit fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
• Use the service for any purpose other than legitimate business management

6. Data ownership

You retain all ownership of the business data you enter into CranePOS. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. You grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Intellectual property

CranePOS, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by Sprout Software Solutions and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the software.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sprout Software Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of CranePOS. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Service availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not responsible for downtime caused by third-party infrastructure or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for material violations of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Uganda.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
